Situated in the very heart of Old Québec, Notre-Dame de Québec Cathedral-Basilica welcomes visitors throughout the year. Recognized as one of Québec and Canada’s historic monuments, it is located in the historic quarter of Old Québec, designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

 

You may visit the church throughout the year during visiting hours. Our guides will be happy to welcome you and provide tours during the summer season.

 

A place of prayer and celebration which welcomes both large and small groups, the Cathedral is also a place where concerts, recitals and exhibitions are presented throughout the year. It houses the tomb of Saint François de Laval, a large reliquary of Canada’s Saints and Blessed and is adorned by a Holy Door.

 

The Pope authorized the installation of this Holy Door in recognition of the 350 Anniversary of Notre-Dame de Québec Parish in 2014.
